I used to get those near my lip ring…it might be infected…you should go back to the peirceing place and ask them

Answer #3

SOUNDS LIKE AND LOOKS LIKE INFECTION.

Well first of all, you need to be gargling with the 1/2 water and 1/2 ORIGINAL listerine. You know the brown nasty kind. That cleans it very well. I’m not sure exactly what the bump maybe, it could be from the ring, it could just be swelling…you know, since you just got it pierced. I think maybe if it doesnt go away or look like it’s going down, you may need to call your local tatoo/piercing shop.

I have had mine piercied for four days and it just showed up, and I had it pierced in the past and the same thing happened. Im pretty sure its just dead skin. I just kind of picked it off. it looks like theres still some in the hole, but I’m pretty sure it will go away soon through regular cleaning. It went away last time. I use green listerine. maybe this is my problem. im 90% positive it isnt infection though

You’ve got an infection My friends and I have pierced our tongues and one of us did get a bump and it bled for her and she had to take it off. But don’t take it off because you can close the infection inside the hole

Go back to your piercer and ask him/her to give you a special mouthwash. I used EasyPiercing. The bottle is white and the liquid is bright pink. It’s by far the best in my opinion.

yeah, I have that too, I freaked out and went back to my piercer. one told me to buy a product called gly-oxide, it has a little bit of peroxide in it but its for oral infections. I returned it because he said also I was just over cleaning it, and then I literally stopped cleaning it maybe once to twice a day not even really after eating and smoking and such and within hours that bump went down and the white even subsided. just stop mouthwashing so much.

the same thing happened to me about a week after I got my tongue done; it’s no big deal. I think it’s just dead skin, I just eased it off with a pair of tweezers. it was irritating though because it kept coming back, but don’t worry it’ll subside. but I did go on antibiotics just in case, and I ALWAYS used listerine after eating & smoking & such. thw white stuffs normal though, it’s not an infection :].

I brushed my teeth/tongue whenever I had something other than water… and I gargled listerine.. for me the blue one worked just as well as the nasty brown one… but I would call the piercing place and tell them…mine didnt do that…

Answer #11

I just got mines. and I had the same thing!. actually I just took it out. its just dead skin, or something like that. so just take it out. nothing will happen. it happens to mostly everyone. ITS NOT AN INFECTION
