Where my ring is at my tongue is soar is is a white bump?

Do I have an allergic reaction to my tongue ring? Or does it still need time to heal?

Answer #1

That’s normal… it should go away after the first week or so. Just to be safe, if you eat or drink anything (other than water) brush your teeth/tongue or at least rinse your mouth with mouthwash. :)

Don’t worrie. That is just the prosess of it healing. Happened to my Medusa and nose ring. x

Oh you will be quite sore for several days. You just pierced a muscle–keep that in mind! The white bump is just a sign that your poor little tongue has been through a trauma, and is nothing to be concerned about as long as the the piercing site is not oozing pus. If that should happen, or you should suddenly develop a fever, see your doctor.

Otherwise, you are probably doing just fine. Tongue piercings are quite painful, and they cause a lot of swelling and soreness. Just make sure you keep rinsing with your mouthwash. :)
