where do you stand on pot?

Pot is legal in my country and I find this a good thing because it means that people don’t have to buy it illigally and it lowers the chance of extra criminal conduct then is needed. Now guns that is something I am against. Again in my country guns are very illigal.

I’ve tried it. im not really against it. it just makes me chill and calm down when im pissed so I can sow down and think about it. and no mattr what they say its not addicting. its a freaking plant.

I dont think smoking pot is okay beacuse it can ruin your brain and your future if you smoke it to often. And I have done it before, I use to do it ALL the time but my girlfriend threatened to brake up with me and I love her so I stopped. I hope I answered your question

Hmmm.. Well I have never tried pot or otherwise but Im not against other people smoking pot unless its a reagualr thing and itss having a negative effect on them.. but.. I would honestly have to say that im not completly against it. :) <3 LovleyLeeAnne

I see no reason why the government shouldn’t legalize pot, after all they legalize cigarettes. Also legalizing it would mean less people complaining all the time about how they want it legalized.

I however hate people smoking around me and would be happy if no one ever had cigarettes or pot. You’re not supposed to inhale something that is harmful to your lungs. We were made to take in oxygen, not pot or cigarettes.

I have also seen to many people getting lung damage from smoking or being around smokers and have some horrible memories regarding smoking and seeing people dying from it. Yes, it might have been cigarettes and more dangerous than pot, but in my mind smoking remains smoking. I feel that it is stupid.

There’s a logic problem with pot as a gateway drug. I ‘m sure that most drug addicts used pot in their past, however, there are millions who use pot and have never moved on to hard drugs. Any mind altering chemical…including alcohol could be considered a gateway drug.

There’s the fact that it is smoked…THC, just like nicotine, isn’t in itself harmful, but inhaling smoke is…After years of taking cigarette smokers to task for “poisoning” their lungs, and the lungs of everybody around them, it seems hypocritical to legalize another form of lung corrosion. Maybe they should work on a new delivery system, and then legalize THC?

Everybody has their own reasons for smiking or doing whatever, but my opinion on drugs is that it dosen’t do you anygood, and if you are doing it because you have problems or something it’s only going to bring you more problems Pot is an easy way out, and that is why is so harmful and will affect you, your future, your skin, everything about you. Your whole body system and all. Pot is just a way to hurtyourself whitout pain… But I guess everybody does what they want to do…

As with all things, moderation is key. Smoking 5 doobies a day is not a good idea. But neither is drinking a six pack everyday.

There is no reason it should be illegal.

phrannie, I agree with you that it is not a gateway drug. Most drug addicts probably drank alchohol before trying pot, so according to that logic, alcohol is really the gateway drug. As far as the lung damage from smoking pot, it has far less risk than smoking cigarettes. A responsible person who smoke pot in moderation is inhaling a tiny fraction of the smoke even a light cigarette smoker inhales.

I think it should be your dessicion to smoke pot,because it most the time screws up your life,but that shouls be your descion. what im trying to say it you should be able to control your own life

I have never done pot. But I think its wrong to do pot UNLESS IT TRULY IS FOR MEDICAL REASONS. FOR DOING POT TO MOST PEOPLE ENDS UP BECOMING like a gateway drug to DOING SERIOUS/HARDCORE DRUGS.. And I have family members/friends whom started with pot and then moved to another drug..looking for a better high…N have been in and out of hospitals/drug dealing/etc.

Substance abuse of any kind is dangerous, including substances that are legal, like alcohol. Regulate the selling and use of marijuana and it will be fine.
