Recently I have been have sex with my boyfriend. We have been going out for three months. We dont use protection, I’m not on the pill or anything and I’m about a week late for my period. I’m going to get a pregnancy test done and I dont know what to do if I am? I really dont want my mum to know so how do I hide it from her?

Well, I am an 18 year old who got pregnant by her boyfriend after 4 months. I don’t want to sound harsh, but if you are grown enough to be having unprotected sex then you need to be grown enough to face the consequences. One of which is going to be telling your mom if you are. Are you really going to hid it for the next 40 or so weeks?

Answer #2

If you are you have to tell your mother, because you need to get proper care for yourself and your baby and plan giving birth etc or alternatively look at the different options you have about what to do with the baby. Not a choice you should make alone.

This is a very delicate situation. You first have to find out if you really are pregnant. Then if you are you have to talk to someone. I don’t believe keeping it from your mom is a good idea. Now it is your decision to make, so I suggest that you both seek counseling. If you find a mediator who can help you guys communicate with your parents, that would definately be great and make it easier to find a solution..

aw your quite young. If you are pregnant you have some options: have the baby or get an abortion. And I don’t know about your country but there should be a free sexual health clinic somewhere thats doesnt tell your parents or your family doctor. These people can talk about your options to you and depending on the law of your country, talk about getting an abortion. In my country (NZ) you can get an abortion without your parents knowing.. Also the clinic will usually give you condoms and you can ask them for the pill, which they’ll give you a perscription to take to the chemist. I strongly advise going on the pill, most of my friends including myself are on it.

Answer #5

I’ve just recently had the same problem so I know how you feel. first of all find out if you are or not and try not to worry untill you defenetly know. then telling some of your friends or someone close first and see what they think. if they know your parents well , they could help you decide how an when to tell your parents.

good luck with all this

and I hope you will be ok
