Why! Antibiotics and Late Periods?
Me and my girlfriend had intercourse the Saturday after her period ( she got her period on the Tuesday before.) After we had had sex she took her birth control for 2 weeks, taking only one pill an couple hours late. Then she developed a respiratory illness, and was put on antibiotics. She is know late on her period. Could this be just because of her antibiotics, considering we had sex that Saturday after her last period (on Tuesday) meaning she was meant to ovulate on the next Thursday or Friday.
Could she be pregnant?
Depends on the type of antibiotics. Not all antibiotics make the pill ineffective. Most likely it is because she was sick recently. That can delay her period. Best to take a pregnancy test.
She could be pregnant, but it could also be the antibiotics. She should take a pregnancy test just to be sure :)
