What wil getting a male dog fixed stop him from peeing everywhere?

My male yorkie poo maxxie is 2 years old he pees everywhereee I mean everywhere he jumped on my grandfathers hasick and peed on his foot…my mom thinks hell stop if we get him fixed but me an my dad dont so does anyone know if thatll work thnx :)

Some dogs will pee everywhere because of a kidney infection. Check with your vet to see if this is the case with your dog. Sometimes a simple antibiotic given to the animal as perscribed by the vet will end the problem.

If what he is doing is ‘marking’ territory…neutering might help…tho his habit is ingrained at 2 years old. It takes a while for the hormones to completely go away…and he still might might mark, but not as much. You might want to try keeping a pop can with a few pennies (or screws and bolts) in it…you just put duck tape over the hole, and when catch him (hopefully right BEFORE he lifts his leg), throw the can at him. The sound of that is awful to a dog, it diverts his attention…and it doesn’t hurt him, it shocks him out of the ‘moment’. Even if you accidently hit him with it, it doesn’t hurt…it’s all about shock value and diverting attention.
