How do I get my cat and kitten to stop peeing everywhere?

How do I get my cat and kitten(her daughter) to stop peeing everywhere?!! do I need to just put them outside? I work an 8 hr a day job, and I can’t just follow them around all day to make sure they don’t pee on anything.

teach them how to use a cat litter box its easy put them in the box and if they go out of the box keep putting them back in and soon you will see they will use it my cat has had about 7 - 6 kittens all trained to use the litter box

Whenever they pee somewhere take both cats(unless you know which one did it, then just take that one) to the pee-spot, and strongly tell them no. Be sure not to raise your voice too loudly, or they will think you’re yelling at them and wont understand why. Then take them directly to their litter box and they’ll start to get the idea. You might even go so far as to move their paws through the clean litter, and to help them associate the instinctive waste-burying motions with the smell of their urine.

I taught a 2-week old kitten and a 3(ish) yr old stray to use the litterbox with this method and both took on moderately quickly. The kitten only needed showing twice; the stray took me about 3 days. Both have done very well since.
