What should I do when my parents arent supportive??

They don’t help me be a better person ,every time I’m happy, there is always a way that they make it go away…I hate that… What do I do??

Answer #1

my parents are the same. most of the time it seems that their own selfish ways always get in the way of them showing that they care. there is no answer to that you just gotta do u. sad but only makes you stronger. they will see when your independent and doing good for yourself, how those selfish ways of their taught you to b better than them. then they can judge that

thanks.:) I try, but it just doesn’t work. I try telling my mom and my brother but they just shrug it off. For me, home used to be hte most important time in my life. But now a days, I can’t wait to leave for school and see the people that actually care about me ( or show it) I guess the real problem is thta my parents aren’t real role models. My mom is sort of a judger of people, my dad goes a long the ride and he dooesn’t let me finish talking when I want to tell him something important or exciting for me. I don’t know, I’m just so tired of it and I want to be a happy girl again.

try talking to them tell them your “mom…not being verry suportive” er something or “I whould really like for you to suport me a least a litttle bit” “can you at least try?”

Answer #4

Hmmm…Do your best to stay occupied with good friends-or, talk to a teacher or counselor at school that you have a good relationship with. Don’t give up on your parents yet though. Keep trying to make them realize that you can’t live life by yourself.

Answer #5

Ever tried to talk to them about it? This seems to be the biggest problem with teenagers nowdays, they just don’t talk to their parents ._.

If you talked to them, and it didn’t worked, then try findin’ “support” with someone else. Trustworthy friends, grandparents, girlfriend/boyfriend, etc..

Answer #6

talk to your friends family and your teachers
