no you cant just use a sewing needle .. use a piercing needle .. a sewing needle will tare the skin and tissue .. a piercing needle is hollow … some tattoo shops sell them so ask around .. DONT USE ICE!!! using ice may ease the pain and “numb” it but at the same time it hardens the skin .. this means it wont allow the needle to slid threw like it should .. it will only cause you more pain and inb the end it will be crooked and look dumb .. get it done right… dont take pain killers .. its not that bad .. if your a big enough girl to do this .. then you should be big enough to not have to take anything .. and as for the jewlery you dont want to use a straight barbell .. but make sure the curved on is 14 g… im a piercer apprentace and I think what you are doing is stupid .. and yes I have donbe all mine by myself but the difference is I know what im doing … and you clearly dont … sorry if this seems rude but think about what you are doing before you do it … there is a lot of stuff that can go wrong just by piercing your belly button wrong … after care clean with SEA SALT … not table salt … use a shot glass and warm water dissolve the salt in it and hold it to your belly button for 2-5 min then take a q-tip and wipe AWAY… you want to make sure none of the “goop” you are wiping off the area come back in contact ( it will cause an infection) ,do this 2-3 times a day and in the shower cleanwth and ant bacteral soap … for 24 hours after you pierce it dont touch it and done clean it … first cleaning should be the day after you do it.. if you need more help PLEASE message me (BEFORE you do this alone)

No, you can’t do it with what you have. None of the supplies you have are right for piercings.

You don’t even know how to sterilize a needle. The needle that your using isn’t even the right type of needle to be using for a piercing. There’s a reason why people get it done by professionals and it’s because they have appropriate tools to use.

You even stated what that needle is used for, “sewing.”. That is the only thing it is good for.

Also if you do happen to sterilize it, chances are you didn’t do it properly. Infections can show up after the piercing has healed.

There is very specific jewelry used for piercing. Use the wrong type of jewelry and you can either cut off the blood supply to the pierced area, or your body can be allergic to the metal and end up rejecting it.

Another problem with piercing is getting your nerves damaged in that specific area. Pierce it wrong and the feeling there goes away. Another problem with piercing it yourself is keloids which is thick scarring in that area, sexy right?

Seriously reconsider the idea of doing it yourself its just a bad idea. This isn’t even half the stuff that can happen to you if you pierce it wrong.

If you want your belly button pierced, you should really consider going to a professional.

Answer #4

haha no you were a nice one

Answer #5

Well the meanie heads! I decided not to do it since you all decided to gainst my wishes and nag me so I just did my ears instead!

Answer #6

people are going to tell you not to be an idiot and do it yourself because if you do it, your an idiot and no, a sewing needle is not a “‘tool”‘ its a thin peice of metal that doesn not belong in your flesh, its too thin to fit any kind of piercing in really, grow up a bit and wait untill your older you shouldn’t be an idiot and pierce anything yourself there are many things that could go wrong also if you cant be bothered to get a hole in your flesh professionally pierced you shouldn’t be getting one AT ALL a piercing is a wound and there’s a lot more to piercing than just stabbing yourself with something as stupid as a sewing needle

Answer #7

Well I am assuming the sweing needle is a lot thinner than the curved barbell? You might want to use a bigger needle and yes the curved barbell is better to use

Answer #8

used the curved one. okay,so just put ice over where your gunna do it, to numb it a little bit.honestly, taking painkillers right before is probably a good idea too.and just push the sewing needle through, and push in the curved barbell right exactly after that.do not wait. thats what I did for mine and it hurt, but it looks great and dident get infected so you should be fine.people that need professionals to do it are just too pussy and afraid to do it themselves
