What are symptoms of a verbal abuser/controlling boyfriend?

Alienating the partner from friends/family Jealousy anger when partner interacts with anyone else Wanting to know where the partner is at every moment Anger if the partner does not answer calls/reply to texts immediately Demeaning/insulting language Implying that the abuser is the only one that could love them An obsession with respect (belief that others arent respecting them, that the partner is not showing proper respect and thus can be punished) Belief that the partner deserves the abuse or is causing, making them be abusive Apologies… lots and lots of apologies, and how it will never happen again, until it does Friends and family being worried etc etc etc
Oh and generally, the first sign, is wondering if the person is abusive (the answer is generally YES).
