what are healthy ways for a soccer player to lose weight?

I’m a 14yr old girl. Right now I play soccer once a week for conditioning, but there’s weight lifting starting on Monday. I want to have muscle (obviously) but I also want to get rid of some fat. What should I do?

everything peaceout17 said and if you eat peanutbutter sandwiches right before you go to bed as they will get used to rebuild your muscles while you sleep.( Two peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches work too.)

Well Im 14 also and I’ve been playing soccer since I was 5.

What you should do is

1)Eat better- no candy, pop, not any of that junk cause it’s gonna make you slower when you run.

  1. Go Running- go to track and go run cause that’s gonna help you shed those pounds and make you improve your running.

  2. When your in weight traning don’t give up! When you start, start with smaller weights for a bit then go higher till you get to the limt where you can only lift a certain amount.

When you do this you need to stay with it and not give up. You have to do it as much as you can..

P.S. also when you play soccer you get really good calf muscels.. And not to be selfish but my legs look really good just from soccer and extra running lol and yours will too. :)
