What do you people think about being vegetarian?

what do you people think about being vegetarian? I’m one (:

Answer #1

I’m a vegetarian and I think it is great. I don’t even know why I ate meat in the first place. I’ve been one for almost a year now and when I first told my friends I was a vegetarian they acted like total jerks about it. Like they would put meat in my water bottle at lunch and stuff. After awhile, they got used to it and stopped acting like that. Some people will be very accepting of it and some people won’t. If people are giving you a hard time about it, it’s because they’re ignorant. Try telling them about why you became a vegetarian and they may even consider becoming ones themselves. :)

Well, animals shouldnt be used for just petting. Im not a veg but I honestly think that killing animals is wrong but I eat them cause it’s healthy for me, im like 90 pounds and I can not gain weight and if I was a veg I’d be like down to 60 and I’d die so I have to eat animals. but if I deside to go veg and if there was nothing in the world but meat left than I’d eat it cause I’d be still alive and I’d rather stay alive than killing myself for a DEAD animal. Their already dead and so I think they should be eaten cause if there was nothing but vegetarians in this world and people are still killing animals than thats a waste for animal killing cause their wouldnt be hardly anyone to eat them. but I am against animal killing for fur but that doesnt mean I should go vegetarian. Thanks for reading.

Answer #3

Well, it’s not that I CAN’T be one. I just don’t WANT to be one.

Answer #4

OMG!!! I’m one too I love veggies and its all I eat but I have to take these nasty protein pills to stay alive…its either the pill or meat and I chose the pilll…WELL peace Kid

Answer #5

I am a vego and im proud of it. some people are like ‘we were meant to eat meat’ and im like ‘says who?’. meat is murder and im afraid to say it but eating meat supports animal cruelty. I cant stand it when people who are pescoterian call themselves vegos, fish is as much meat as steak is.

Answer #6

xxthatgirl, If I can become a vegetarian anyone can. I used to be a real meat and potatoes kind of guy, I didn’t like most vegetables and I wasn’t used to eating much in the way of grains or fruits.

One thing I did do is keep trying new things. Over time my tastes changed and I started to like healthy foods. Now I eat a much wider variety of foods and tastes than I ever did as a meat eater.

Diet doesn’t have to be an all-or-nothing thing. If you just try eating more whole grains, vegetables, and fruits you will be healtheir even if you never go all the way to vegetarianism.

Answer #7

hey kids, you really don’t need a bunch of supplements to be a vegetarian. There is protein in almost all plants. You don’t have to try to eat as much protein as meat eaters because frankly most meat eaters consume more protein than is healthy. The only vitamin that can be difficult to get on a pure vegetarian or vegan diet is B12. If you are a long term vegan it is a good idea to take some sort of B12 supplement but if you even occasionally eat eggs or dairy you have nothing to worry about here.

Answer #9

Well, animals shouldnt be used for just petting. but I honestly dislike people killing the animals. If I was a veg and there was nothing but meat in the world, I would eat it cause I’d be still alive and the animals are already dead so its like killing yourself for a DEAD animal. I would go veg but I cant gain weight so if I did go veg than I’d be losing so much weight and im already like 90 so I have to eat meat.

Answer #10

I was in the police force on a fully vegetarian diet, and I was one of the best physical performers there. Actually, the slow pokes were the guys who had the wost diets (usually the ones who ate the most fast food I.e meat). Now I am living in China on a vegan diet, and I’ve been maintaining my weight quite easily, and I exercise regularly. I do take a multi-vitamin now and again (mainly for the b12). I think our western society has convinced us that we need meat, when actually it far from the truth. I just hope some people can wake up to this and explore new and healthier diets.

Answer #11

I support anyone who’s vegetarian/vegan. But I’d never be one. I love meat.

Answer #12

I’m a vegetarian, and it’s great. all I have to take is iron pills. vegetarianism is very healthy.

Answer #13

UM I think its good but personaly im not. I might look like it cus im very skinny but no I eat everything edible thats good!

Answer #14

I LOVE being one!! =]]] I think it’s GREAT!!

Answer #15

vegaterianism’s ok I suppose - I would never become one myself - but veganism really really bugs me, and seems completely illogical.

(Just a question to Sarahsupertramp, how can vegatarianism be healthy if it leaves you deficient of iron? Try eating spinach and cabbage for more iron)

Answer #16

I’ve been a vegetarian since Spring of 1980.

I think being vegetarian is good for you, good for animals, good for mankind, and good for the environment.

Answer #17

I will make you guys a deal - for every animal you don’t eat, I will eat three.
