is it a bad thing that whenever I have a boyfriend I always keep in the back of my mind that we will break up even if the relationship is going good? Can that be in excuse for not getting hurt?

sounds like me.. I really never knew why, but when I did get hurt, it just didn’t hurt as bad.

it sounds like a defense mechanism… you dont get too involved because you know you’ll break up (you should realise it may be a self fulfilling prophecy, you may be breaking up because you dont get as deeply involved because know you’ll break up…)
