My dad says I need to put on weight

My dad keeps saying I need to weigh at least 145 pounds, and I’m only thirteen. (5’11 tall) How can I make him stop, because there’s no way on Earth that’s true.

Answer #1

Your dad should not make you feel this way! maybe talk to your dad about it but if you dont want that boring old advice you should make him feel bad by saying he should be a certain amount of w8 and then he’ll see how stupid and bad it is Try it ! ash xx.

Answer #2

You said before you wanted to be 85 pounds or something…

I don’t think age has anything to do with it. 5’11’’ is TALL for a girl. You need that weight so you’re proportional.

Hi Emma, You appear to be getting rather obsessed with weight related questions and even though you have marked a lot of your older ones as anonymous, we still recall that you are posting them.

You may want to speak to someone about your general worries over weight etc..such as a school counsellor, a friendly teacher, a doctor etc…

Considering that you appear to be somewhat obsessed over your weight, I can fully understand your dad being concerned and maybe even telling you that you need to be heavier than the medical average knowing full well that you may only partly meet what he is looking for in the way of your weight.

To receive honest and helpful feedback on this site you need to be honest and open in your question and you have not mentioned what appears to be the unhealthy obsession that you have regarding your weight.
