What if a nuclear bomb took out Mecca?

As in, no more ‘haaj’, no more visits to the first mosque in Islam, no more black stone…nothing. As in, nuclear holocaust the whole area around. Would that change Islam forever…? Would every Muslim have to go to hell, b/c they couldn’t do one of things that’s considered one of the five pillars? OR would the belief’s evolve to actually include the idea…that no matter where you are in the world, you’re as close - or as far - as your belief, not your geography.

Answer #1

I can answer that question, I don’t think they would, only if they are die hard committed to their religion and beliefs.

An interesting, and timely question. I was listen to Brother Stair earlier this evening and he stated that the U.S. was getting ready to “strike” Iran, using nuclear bombs: Israel and their nuclear bombs will be involved, as well. This will lead to nuclear war in the Middle East and ultimately, a World War.

If a nuclear bomb took out MECCA as you said… it wouldnt change Islam forever muslims will remain as muslim and in ISLAM RELIGION muslims should be ABLE to go to HAJ it means they are not obliged to go to HAJ i know many religious people and they have never visited HAJ but that doesnt mean they go to hell…for example if some one doesnt have enough money he is not obliged to go to HAJ at the same time they wont spend their eternal life in HELL. but he has to pray and have other commitments . Look at the conditions of ISLAM: 1-Accept that only one God exists and Muhammad was his messenger. 2-Perform certain prayers five times a day. 3-Fast from dawn to dusk during a month called Ramadan. 4-Give a portion of their wealth to the poor. 5-Visit Mecca at least once ((if they are able to.))

if you notice VISITING MECCA is the LAST CONDITION beside it says ((IF THEY ARE ABLE)) it doesnt say (THEY HAVE TO VISIT MECCA)

hope it helps …take a good care —-}-@

Answer #4

They would probably just build another one. I also think that would really pee them off big time.

Answer #5

if a bomb took out mecca, muslims wont know which direction to pray

Answer #6

Religious people are usually attached to material objects and geographical places in order to worship God. It is a human tendency. If not possible in one place they find another “sacred” place
