Is it right for my teacher to not let me go to the bathroom after I told I had to go really bad?

my teacher didn’t let me go to the bathroom i had to wait an hour until after school and she let other people go before me and i just got back from the doctor and i now have UTI.

Answer #1

No thats not right shes suppose to let you go when you ask, Unless you ask every 5 minutes or something then she has a right to say no.

Answer #2

Nopee. I’d tell the principle, & talk to the nurse/your doctor & get a note/pass that will make your teachers have to allow you to the bathroom. :/ My teachers do this too, all the time but I just walk out.

Answer #3

Oh wtf?! OK that is not right I would sue the living h3ll out of that teacher

Answer #4

i asked her once and she just denied me then i asked again right before the other girl and she flat out said no.then the girl asked and she said yes.!

Answer #5

Yeah. Not right! The only reason a teacher should ever say no to needing to go to the restroom is if they absolutely KNOW your abusing the privledge… I’d report her to your principal

Answer #6

Yeah talk to your principle about that .

Answer #7

If you really need to go, the teacher has no right to say no. Even if it means going without being approved to the bathroom, I’d do it. We had a mishap at my school a while ago where we were on a school trip and the teachers wouldn’t stop the car for a girl who had to go to the bathroom and she was crying and getting a migraine and it all resulted in all the parents wrote into the school complaining. Of course your situation doesn’t sound that bad, but there is just an idea of other possibilities.

Answer #8

Definately not. If you told her it was urgent and an emergency and she still refused then I’d say go report it. Or get your parents to come down to school and complain.

Answer #9

if you asked the first time and the teacher said no, you have that right to walk out and use the restroom…

Answer #10

No, she’s supposed to let you go if you really do need to go to the loo.

Answer #11

I had a science teacher once who absolutely hated my guts, I don’t really remember why. Once I asked her to go to the bathroom and she said no. So, I stood up and walked behind her desk and started to unbutton my pants and pulled them down (the desk covered my lower half so no one saw) and horrified she asked what I was doing. So I said “If you won’t let me go to the bathroom, I guess I’ll just do it here. Frankly I don’t care where this happens, but this pee is exiting my body one way or another.” I got sent to teh pricipals, but after that day, she always wrote me a pass when I asked to go to the bathroom.

Answer #12

Nooo wayyyyy I’m not sure about your country, but over here a teacher could be fired for not letting a student to go the bathroom and the student getting a UTI. Complain to the school- make an official complaint.

Answer #13

There simply has to be more to this story, as it makes no sense why the teacher would deny you, but allow someone else. What part are you leaving out?

Answer #14

No, my teachers do this to me all the time. You cAn get kidney stones and bladder infections if you hold it… Actually I have to use the restroom right now…. Tell your teacher you want to go to the nurse And she will let you go pee…. Talk to your teacher or principal about it as well

Answer #15

she never really liked me and she done this more than once.we get in occasional fights but i always respect her.

Answer #16

she makes faces at me sometimes and i tell my mom and my mom calls and she gets in trouble.

Answer #17

of course it’s not right if u hold pee too long u could get a bladder infection. u could also have ur period and need to protect yourself.

Answer #18

That happened all the time at my primary! They all just say you should have gone before break, its so annoying!
