Would you consider a Snickers candy bar to be a good snack food?

I don’t mean like all the time but maybe a once in a while thing?

Answer #1

I don’t think it would ever be considered healthy, but you have to treat yourself once in a while.

Answer #2

not realy, its pretty much junk food, but its okay to treat yourself every now and then, i wouldnt consider it a good snack food though

Answer #3

Nope, not at all. The only thing healthy about a snickers is the peanuts, but once you calculate all the sugar and fat into the equation it’s not even worth it. Snickers is junk food and should be a treat every once in a while. There are tons of other healthier snacks that should be picked over a snickers - peanut butter and wheat crackers, dark chocolate, handful of unsalted peanuts, etc. If you do get the craving opt for a bite size snickers instead of eating a whole bar.

Answer #4

Sure, why not. Not everyone is eating right. Yeah a Snickers bar is good every once in while.

Answer #5

no its not healthy, and you shouldn’t eat it that often, like cassie said just once in a while.

Answer #6

absolutely not. It’s never a “good” snack food. But, I don’t see anything wrong with treating yourself to one occassionally.

Answer #7

Uh no way! Haha any kind of candy bar is sooo fattening and will make you tired after 20 minutes and lethargic. Candy should only be consumed once in a while, certainly not everyday. Kids have higher metabolisms so they can get away with eating candy but adults have to be very very careful with chocolate and lollies. A better snack would be carrot sticks and fat free dip, bread sticks, fresh fruit, or just a drink of water cause most of the time you are actually thirsty, not hungry.

Answer #8

Actually, it’d be good maybe when your blood-sugar or whatevers is low. That’s it. But minus that…

Answer #9

In short, no. Snickers candy bars are pretty much just loaded with sugars and empty calories. There’s nothing very nutritional in it. A good snack food typically involves something with fiber, calcium, vitamins or other things. They’re typically low on sugars. Fruits and vegetables would be a much better snack.

Answer #10

Yes! But only if you compare it to other foods in the group. When you choose what sweet you would like to treat yourself if you have some calories to spare for the day. The best are the ones with a low glycemic index. Snickers and M&M with peanuts will be your best choices. Both are low Glycemic index at around 55. That’s below white bread, potatoes, raisins and other foods that seem more harmful. Where Snickers will mess you up is in calorie content at a massive 271 per bar! That is almost a meal.

Answer #11

*other foods that seem less harmful.

Answer #12

Yes - Hydrate!

Answer #13

Answer #14
