Is it okay to go to sleep an hour after you just worked out?

I heard its only bad because it makes your metabolism low but I don’t know if its true. Also is it okay not to eat after 7:00 because I heard that’s good for you or something like that.

Yepp, as long as youve streched. eliminates soreness

Answer #2

It depends when you do it, If you are doing it in the morning probably not because your body is just starting back up from just being asleep so to go back to sleep can mess it up….If your doing it at night than there is nothing wrong with that, It’s actually great since your muscles can relax and as long as it doesn’t mess up your sleep you should be fine…You can eat after 7pm as long as you don’t go to sleep at like 8:00 the whole reason they want you to stop eating is because most people than go sit down start relaxing and then go to bed not working off the calories. If you still continue to move though you will be fine…you should try to stop eating 2 hours before you go to sleep though…..Hope I Helped!

Okay. Thanks! (:

Answer #4

I would say yes, just because after a workout you need rest, your body is tired. Meaby take a shower and relax and all and let yourself drift to sleep, that’s mainly what I do and nothing bad has happened. It’s ok to eat after 7, not a full mean, meaning not like a whole dinner, but yes you can have a simply salad, or some cereal or some fruits. It’s just taking care of that little hunger but still staying healthy.

Answer #5

I would wait a bit, if your workout was pretty intensive your muscles are gonna be pretty tight…complete in-activity might cause some issues later…like any good athlete u need to slowly come down from strenuous exertions…re-hydrate yourself, and if u lift a lot of weights, then u also need to load up on your drained energy reserves by eating something…also stretch out those areas were u do feel some tightness.

Answer #6

No, I heard u can die!

Answer #7

Health-wise, there’s no real risk….it’s due to the fact that exercise is stimulating and may keep you from being able to sleep.

Answer #8

Instead of sleeping why not have a glass of chocolate milk before working out and a glass of chocolate milk after working out. It will do wonders for you.
