How many hours should you sleep for?

I have to sleep for 9 hours atleast even before I can function properly!! but im stil really tierd in the morning, im anemic an im on 300mg of iron a day and im still tierd even after my iron tabelts, am I sleeping to many hours? Xx

everyone has a different amount of sleep requirements. Try sleeping half an hour earlier and see if that helps. I know someone who has to sleep for 10 hrs, but I need 8 and I’m fine.

the average for everybody is 8 hours of sleep a day mine is terrible though and varies…from 0 to around 16! you need to sleep so your body can re-charge if your still feeling tired perhaps your not getting enough protein either

Well, my sleeping habbit is different to most, I think. The earlier I go to be the later I wake up and the later I go to bed, the earlier I wake up. But Im not sure for the hours.

depends on what you are used to I guess. I sleep somewhere between 5 and 7 hours tops (usually) and that works well for me. I don’t think there is a scientific guideline for sleeping too much though…

maybe you should experiment a little, sleep 8 hours per night for a week long and see how you feel.
