My Ex wife has my 3 year old daughter half of the time. They live with her boyfriend in a condo/apt.. They have a medium size dog who the let go to the bathroom on their porch. The last time I was there, the porch was covered in dog feces...not 3 or 4 spots, more like ten or twelve. I know it is not healthy, is it enough to call CPS?
talk to you ex wife about your concern regarding your daughter's safty if she is a good mother she would listen to you and talk to her boyfreind about it and if she is an adiquite mother and if her boyfreind put his dog or himself infront of her she would put her child infront of her and not her boyfreind... if nothing happens then try to be the best father you can be to her if it bothers your daughter or makes her sick and if your ex wife and/or her boyfreind are to lazy or selfish to do anything then look for some other issues around their house,if you find enough then try to get full custody of the kid,if it works good for you if it doesen't then try to be the best fauther you can be when she is in your care
hmm tought one..have you ever seen feces inside the house?: im not sure its enough to call cps for, but its definitely a heads up about the home, and as a good dad you can keep taking note. ask your daughter about it if it bothers her ( I know she is pretty young though).. you wouldnt want to call cps for sumthin small and thenwhen something big happens, they may not take it as seriously. thats just my opinion. hope that helps.
what I would do is probably do what lanegrachula thinks: ask your daughter if it bothers her. or you could tell your wife that its kinda disturbing having a dog use the bathroom on the porch because guests might step in it.
ehh, considering its your daughter and im sure you want the best for her I think its at least worth talking to CPS and seeing what they have to say about it
