runaway

OK so im 16yrs old and im tired of how my mom treats me I do everything she tells me treat her and act like a good daughter but shes always yelling and treating me bad no physical or sexual abuse just emotional. I wanna know in how much trouble I would get if I ran away, Also if my boyfriend could adopt me or have power over me?I know my mom is gonna call the police because she would want me to get in trouble and im also not from here what should I do?

im 17 years old and I know what you mean. however, if you run away n she calls the cops you will have to go back home. and if your boyfriend is 18 or over she can press charges against him. do what I do. keep to yourself and just remember you wont have to be there much longer.

Your mom has FULL custody of you until you are 18, If you runaway you WILL be charged with runaway & you will possibly go to juvienille. I suggest you talk to a family member & work out a living arrangement. Running away will only get you in more trouble.

I think everyone’s giving you pretty much the same advice. I was in your shoes to but even if it seems like you and your mom will never get along now, once the stress of living under her is gone you will. Within a month of moving out of my house for college, I realized the mom I though I hated was one of my best friends.

stick it out. Don’t say things to her that you’ll regret later, she loves you more than anything. just complain to your friends a lot to make it easier.
