Proper Filter for Comunity Tank

I have a 4 gallon tank with 1 bettafish, 3 snailes,and 1 crab. I really want a cloudfish. I know that these creatures are compatable but I dont know if I need a filter besides my plant and snailes and crab. If I do what kind of filter should I use

well it depends on the size of the fish, dont get a to large of one because have of my fish got sucked up! I have a lot of mollies and 2 african frogs now only 1 so get one with a screen so that dont happen I am not sure if that will be available but if not get a real small one!
