What is the point of this no holding hands law?

What is the point of this law for teens of no holding hands if they give sexual education in the schools and a free condom to the teenagers. So this law doesnt make any sense. What do you think?

Answer #1

Where is that a law?

Answer #2

THATS A LAW????!!!!

Answer #3

I think I know what he means. In my school we can hold hands but we have a “thirty centimeter rule” which basically means no kissing or being too close to each other at school. And the reason they give out condoms and teach sex education is so that kids are knowledgeable of what they’re doing when they’re alone with each other. They’re just trying to lessen the public display of this as much as possible, they can’t control what we do at home so they have to teach us about sex.

Answer #4

Technically, it’s the result of things going a bit over the top as per usual… I understand rules against outright public displays of affection however, it is a little stupid to ban holding hands in a school where sex ed is properly taught. Is it not better for ‘hand holding’ to be allowed in school - in a safe environment - than excluding such activities purely outside?

Answer #5

Never heard of it

Answer #6

I believe that this rule is kinda awkward… It’s like your walking down the hallway with your boyfriend or girlfriend when the principal sees you. Then, you both get suspended for 2 days.. That was just an example but…. Once again awkward rule…

Answer #7

To be honest I see no point in it. They cant monitor every teenager all the time. If teenagers want to hold hands, they will regardless of the law. I also had that “thirty centimeter rule”. We couldn’t even squeeze onto a bench or wall while sitting eating lunch and talking without them shouting. Bench was made for 4 people. We got 6 on. We were sent home. lol. And we weren’t even holding hands! I know 5 of my friends who got 2-4 weeks susoension for holding their girlfriends hands and hugging them after break when they seperated to go to their classes.

Answer #8

That’s so lame!

Answer #9

It’s called PDA (public display of affection) When I was in the military, you could not be french kissing and putting your hands all over each other publicly on a military base, and especially while in uniform. Understandable because you have to draw a line somewhere when it comes to displaying the proper image of a soldier. But holding hands was perfectly fine. This rule does sound extrteme, but maybe they are having trouble with the school kids just taking things too far and needed to make a rule in order to curb it somewhat.

Answer #10

Well it’s not a law, it’s a rule that some schools have implemented.

Answer #11

I attend a private school, so we aren’t allowed to hold hands. It’s not a catholic school tho.
