Poem for my english assignment

im sorry to be posting in here, but im not sure where else to put it, and I often see “emodancer” posting them, so I thought id give it a shot, as I people who respond to questions in here always give really good advice:

Age Of Innocence by Me :)

Do you remember the old days, Of toy soldiers and school plays, Of stubbing toes and breaking bones, And wrecking things with sticks and stones,

Of sprinkler fun in the summer heat, Bike riding up and down our street, Games of tiggy, and girls germs, Muddy hands and digging worms

We grew up, we start to age, Our bodies get old our hair turns gray, All that’s left of our younger years, Photo albums, memories, smiles and tears Our biggest fear is to forget, What it was like to feel young again

We grew older, we started to change, Nothing’s different but nothing’s the same, Puberty hit, and girls became fun, We stopped skipping and started to run,

A new lot of first’s, far from steps, A car, a kiss and new regrets,
Far from chasing and catching insects, Our motives changed our thoughts turned to sex,

We grew up, we start to age, Our bodies get old our hair turns gray, All that’s left of our younger years, Photo albums, memories, smiles and tears Our biggest fear is to forget, What it was like to feel young again

The biggest change came when school was out, A fork in the road, which is my route? To love? To leave? To stay the same? Which job? Which car? What is my aim?

Straight off the blocks and into the race I can’t keep up, can’t match the pace, I pick myself up, search for a sign, The mountain of life I begin to climb

We grew up, we start to age, Our bodies get old our hair turns gray, All that’s left of our younger years, Photo albums, memories, smiles and tears Our biggest fear is to forget, What it was like to feel young again

A new objective, to settle down, Where is my Queen, where is her crown? A successful job, a good career, Will lure my bird with scent of pollen clear,

A need for a wife, and to reproduce, Three kids in the back and a dog in the boot, A family holiday, to somewhere fun, Time to organize a retirement and collage fund,

We grew up, we start to age, Our bodies get old our hair turns gray, All that’s left of our younger years, Photo albums, memories, smiles and tears Our biggest fear is to forget, What it was like to feel young again

The kids grow up and leave the nest, Time to relax and recollect, Thinking back about our past The freedom, and boredom, time went so fast

A new lot of first’s, far from a kiss, Cancer, arthritis we add to the list Time is against us as we watch the clock, We hear the tick, will there be a tock?

oppinions?

Don’t worry about emodancer posting poems, she can’t post worth a sh*tt! I guess you havn’t heard of great poets like me and don’t know who I am, but let me tell you that poems don’t have to ryme like dr. susses! you need to show some more feeling so people want to stick their teeth in it and suck! I hope you get an A!!!
