How to shut her up?

How do you shut-up an 8 year old girl?

Answer #1

8 yearz old , uwwuu maybe video games or going out in a park , let her play with other kidz … involve her in many activitiess (swimming ,,, )

Answer #2

LISTEN TO HER, my daughter is 8 and never shuts up either, but she has a lot to say,and sooner than you think you’ll regret not hearing what she has to say. Then, you can say “hush” it sounds a LOT nicer !!!

Answer #3

Glamgirl. You should of clarified that for all of us. Stop her from crying. We all just assumed you wanted to stop her from talking because most 8 year olds talk a lot.

Common sense. If you’re crying, something is bothering you right? Find out what’s bothering her and find a solution.

Answer #4

ah- well your question was not clear enough to understand the reasoning of wanting to “shut her up”

I work with 8 year olds- and homework is not always something they look forward to doing. You may want to try to make it a routine. Ex: After school she gets a snack and starts right away on her homework. After homework she can play. Once she becomes familiar with a routine- she will not have to cry or become upset during her homework time… At first during this time she will cry. But let her know she can not do anything else untill that homework is done. Crying is something you may have to get used to for a short time, untill the routine kicks in.

Also- You may want to check with her and make sure she is understanding her homework. Sometimes children become easily frustrated when they dont understand what they are learning in school. Check and see if she needs help with anything. It may calm her down. Perhaps you can give her a small amount of you time to help her get her homework done?

Two words.. Duck Tape

Answer #12

You can’t. Even if you give her something to do, she’ll still come to you with numerous questions or suggestions.

You just learn how to tone her voice out. Good luck!

Answer #14

give her something interesting. like a puzzle. if all else fails, duck tape holds better than super glue but make sure you get her hands or she’ll take it off.

Answer #15

8 year olds are active at that age anyways, and usually have a lot to say. I find it sad you want to “shut her up”-

Maybe she is looking for attention or love that is not given.
