How do people get, and stay, so skinny, i'm 15, 5ft 4 1/2 and i weight about 11st, and im not happy, any advice?

It’s not about dieting- Dieting will never work long term. It’s about a lifestyle change. You can’t loose weight in a month, it may take a year to get to your goal weight (it will be different for everybody) but you need to change your lifestyle, not just go on a diet for a few months. You could try eating smaller portions, stop snacking (if you do) and start simple exercising a few times a week. It can be easy- Like you could do sit-ups while watching TV, or walk the dog faster than usual until in a few weeks you will be able to run with the dog (if you have a dog lol). Just try eating fresher foods like fruit and veges. Have a sandwich not a pie. It’s little changes like that. Cut out ALL sugary drinks, they are the worst offenders. Opt for water or healthy ju1ce (not cheap ju1ce- that’s all sugar… But REAL ju1ce). You will be able to loose as much weight as you want. It’s okay to have a piece of cake at somebody’s birthday, or some chips at a party as long as you only have one piece and only that one time. There is no need to snack everyday. If you get hungry, eat carrot sticks and pesto or a fruit salad. It’s much much much better than chips, soft drinks, chocolate etc.

thanks :) i dnt get why i weight so much, i am quite althletic, and i walk to and from school everyday attend all sorts, etc gymnastics ( and my weight isnt the muscle ive only been going 1 year :P ) mabye i have a slow metabolism, and thats i will try it :) I drink LOADS of fizzy drinks so i think ill definatly cut down on them x

i liked the bit “have a sandwich not a pie “ deffinatley don’t have a pie sandwich,lol,,,,squash is a good sport for loosing weight fast and gaining fittness also proven to lower the risk of injry …….

It could be the slow metabolism. I have a slow metabolism too. Try drinking green tea everyday. Seriously it’s amazing to help digest food faster. I started drinking it about a year ago and lost like 4-5kgs in the first month or so. It’s so good for you. It tastes odd at first but you’ll get used to it.

I lost 50 lbs in 1987 (140 to 90)….I started portion control and exercise….now it’s mostly natural for me to only eat as much as I need….I don’t want to ever have to do that again…I still watch it, if I start to gain, then I’m eating too much or I’m not getting enough exercise….and I get right on it.

they just closed our local hall wher we had two courts , thers another one about 5 miles away , but it’s a bit run down , thers a hole in the ceiling and i’ve lost three balls in ther allready lol,,,,

if you know of a decent sized wall you could start off practicing ther with a tennis bat , it’s not the same but it’s a something ……

when you get fit it’s great,it’s not so much about the losing weight i play rugby, so we’re not asked to lose weight but carry what weight we have better,,,getting through the first couple of weeks might be tough and you’ll have to push yourself ,, but you get to a stage wher it’s feel’s good , by that i mean that you’ll end up taking plesure in physically exsausting yourself , it improves the way you feel abut yourself and how you veiw your own body , keep at it ,it’s really worth it ,also helps to find disstractions, i always listen to my mp3 player , if i put my bike on a treadmill at home i’ll place it front of the t.v ,,,,only bad point about the last one is that you’ll seat a fair bit ,lol,,, so cover the carpet …..
