New Kitten problem
I just got a kitten for Christmas. the problem is, I have a 4 year old cat already living in my house. ever since she saw the new kitten, she’s been really afraid of coming upstairs and even walking in the house. I’m really worried about her, and afraid that she will even stop eating! can anyone give me any advice on how to bring my 4 year old cat to like this new kitten. it’s only been 2 days, but still please I cant bare to watch my cat act this way, makes me feel so guilty, almost like I betrayed her by receiving this new kitten. Thanks in advance!
I feel for you, my cat did the same thing… My vet suggested putting the new cat in an enclosed area (like a cage of some sort) before trying to introduce them. where the old cat can approach the new cat on her terms… then slowly letting them get a sense of each other…
