Should I be able to move out if I don't like my mom's boyfriend?

I am 16 years old and i have been living with my mom, her boyfriend and their kid for 3 years. They met and istantly she broke up with her other bf for him. We moved about 1 hour from the city to pretty much the middle of no where., i had to drop my whole life for them. and not even a year living with him they had a kid. My moms boyfriend is a complete jerk. at first all he did was drink his beers, smoke weed, and party in his shack thing. Yah he does work and do things outside but other than that nothing.. he dosnt really even spend time with his 17 year old kid she lives with his mother, and he hardly watches the one he had with my mom. He such an a$$ to me aswell. Ive been looking for a job for a couple months but no where is hiring in our small town! and he was yelling at me and i said some thing rude… but i needed him just to SHUTUP! he tells my mom i run the house hold… when i dont -- i watch HIS KID WHILE HES OUTSIDE DRINKING and i clean ! i never make my own rules i follow them! hes says im spoild when i havnt baught ne thing but my school uniform in months! i told my mom i wanted to move out but she said over my dead body -! and i want to live with my god father who lives with my moms bestfriend. Why would i want to be in an enviroment where someone does not want me… nor am i happy.

“Should” isn’t the same as “can” … maybe you “should” be allowed to live with your Godfather, but that’s a moot point if legally, you “can’t”.

Answer #2

hang in there for 2 more years, as soon as the clock strikes midnight on your birthday, run and never look back, just keep in touch with your mom :)

Answer #3

Your profile says your 21. you should be able to move out LOL.
