What do I need to know before I move to Detroit?

I watched this program about a real life Pawn Shop from Detroit…all i can say is i hope you dont mind the f word if you be going pawning your stuff and be quieing an that.The language i see on that program is the worst i have ever seen any where…and i have seen GoodFellas the movie(250ish f words).Most people seem to just swear in normal conversation there?

Don’t go out after dark

Detroit is a large metropolitan city with some very nice areas and some not so nice areas. Some parts of Detroit are so rough that the police won’t even go without backup. There are also idyllic areas with quiet residential streets, little crime, good schools, and pretty parks. It depends on where in Detroit you are moving. When most people think of Detroit they think of the worst inner city parts but like every major city there are nice areas as well.

i doubt there are any nice areas in Detroit.. I had to stay there for a couple of days in a hotel whilest waiting for my delayed flight back home and did not like it one bit. I thought it’d be nice to walk around and see whats hot etc and i almost got robbed and beaten up by someone who mistook me for someone else or something. be careful if you do go there, or just go somewhere else
