where in california should I move?

I want to move to southern california, in or around los angeles or san diego. I need to know what are some good locations that have cheap(not too cheap) houses or condos. preferably $100k to 400k. I DONT want to move in a ghetto cheap place where my house value will drop and I have to live around hardcore wannabe gangsters. im trying to move there when im in my twenties, like in 3-5 years. and im also from the dc area so im kinda eager and excited to move there, if I can

Answer #1

hmm usually medium sized cities have cheap places to live.. here are some cities/towns in the northern area: hayfork (really small), eureka, chico, red bluff, redding (personal fav), palicedro, los molinos ect.. those are more in the woods I guess, but still warm (: I hope this helps ~lea

Answer #2

well I don’t really know about california but I would probrably move somewhere in the middle where its warm. not to close to the ocean incase theres a tsunami or something.

Answer #3

I can’t vouch for home prices, but I lived in Encinitas and that was quite nice.
