How can I keep my old mice from hurting my new mouse?

I had two mice, both girls, and tonight I got one more, also a girl. She’s much younger and smaller than the other two. I got them all at the same place. I put them all together in a wide plastic box with lots of room instead of their cage, so they’re not closed in together. They do fine exept when Hermione, the new mouse, tries to run on the wheel. Bubba, one of the older mice, nips at Hermione when she tries to run on the wheel. Not hard, but enough to make Hermione squeak. Also, when Hermione tries to get into the little igloo they sleep in, Bubba attacks her. She screeches pretty loud at that. The other older mouse, Fidgit, Doesn’t seem to mind her new room mate to much. She just sniffs her and follows her around sometimes. How can I get Bubba to exept the new member of the family?

Well I’m not too sure if this will work but when I had a guinea pig and decided to get a second one, what I did was I got a second cage and put the newer animal in one cage and others in the other cage and then put the cages side by side where they can sorta get used to eachother. And have the cages facing eachother too. It did some good for me. Like I said I only had guinea pigs so I’m not sure how it’ll work with mice but I would try anyways if I were you

I think Katarina’s idea is pretty good. Also, you shouldnt have too much problems with three female mice. They are quite social, and the girls are not too aggressive, especially since you have two together rather than introducing your new mouse to a single older mouse. I have found its much more difficult to introduce a male to a small group of other males. They tend to fight a bit because they like to be dominant. I think your mice should get used to each other soon enough, just keep an eye on them for a while
