Is living in a city really that bad?

I’ve heard that it drives people insane. Is that true for everyone?

Answer #1

i live in the city & absolutely love it ♥

Answer #2

I guess it depends.. My mom is a city girl, always lived in La, California.. Right now she’s in Georgia and she’s going insane. I’m sure it depends on what you’re used to and if you can adapt to it or not..

It would really depend on the person. I grew up on the side of a mountain in Montana, 30 minute drive from the closest city/town. For the most part I loved it out there. Were some drawbacks - if you forgot something in town it wasn’t a quick trick over to the store for some butter or milk. You planned your trip to town like a cross country adventure, and make sure you got everything you needed. Now live in town (can’t really call it a city, at least not compared to Atlanta or anything like that). At first it drove me insane. I spent every weekend up at my friends house outa town. I have grown somewhat accustom to it over the 9 years now I have lived in town, but still need to disappear once a mouth for the weekend outa to my buddies house. I have spent time in larger cities. I stayed a week in Denver, CO. After about 2 days I just about lost it. Little .05 acre lot. So many people!!!! >_<. I drove down to Atalanta one summer with my g/f and her parents. The cites we passed through where fun to look at, but I could never handle living there. So I think a lot has to do with where you grew up. From the age of 4 until end of 8th grade - so 13 or so, I lived on the side of that mountain. I disliked it at times being so far from everything, but after moving into “town” idk if living in the middle of nowhere was such a bad thing :P But I’m still in Montana, so the largest cites we have aren’t much compared to the big cites of the world.

Answer #6

Depends if your like living in New York in a crappy apartment, but if youve got a decent house then i guess it’d be nice… ive always wanted to live in the middle of forest on a hill in a log cabin… with lazer cannons

Answer #7

I soooo prefer city life to the farm…its a no-brainer, imho

Answer #8

wah ! lol nah i mean if u lived in the city all your life then No, ur just like used to it u kno, If u go from country to city then i mean thereS A huge difference, not that high in crimes for the most part, but i mean i guess it also depends on the city..lol and nah i love the city, H-town all day :D

Answer #9

Its mostly the amount of people that gets me, just visiting a larger city. Going from Montana to like Denver or Atlanta - I just couldn’t stand how crammed together everything was and the amount of people.
