Answer #1

i might buy an action kit… but so far i have shared the video on Facebook

Answer #2

If I see any, I’ll probably get a bracelet. I also plan on posting the posters everywhere on 4/20.

Answer #3

asking people why it matters. seriously it’s not our job to police the world he isn’t from our country or doing these crimes in our country. it’s like if i was to be arrested and sent to japan prison because i while in America broke a japan law.

Answer #4

While I usually agree with things you say on certain subjects, I can’t help but wonder how it would feel to have been born into that world, kidnapped, r@ped, mutilated, watched my family get murdered and/or be forced to murder them myself, become pregnant due to a r@pe, then have my child taken, either forced to kill me OR I stay alive to witness my daughter being r@ped, and THEN I find out that the main reason nobody stepped in and saved me as a child 20 years ago was because people out there somewhere sat at their dinner table and said “it isn’t our problem.” I think that attitude is horrifying.

Answer #5

I got the bracelet and posters i’v already told many people it brakes my heart that people can be so cold hearted and say awful stuff about these kids. There children and should have a childhood like every kid. i think its awesome people talk about it make it more know. If it was my child in the KONY deal i would want everyone to know. Its great to help out these kids by letting it know what a monster that man is. NO child should ever fear being kidnap at night or little girls being used for sex…Theres something everyone can do.

Answer #6

Nothing, because this has been going on for years now. I don’t know why everyone’s bringing attention to it now…

Answer #7

The reason it is bringing brought to attention now is because it hasn’t been addressed. It is still going on and a group of people actually finally created a video that reached millions, nobody thought to do that before. The reality tons of people didn’t hear about this, and those that did didn’t know what to do. So your ideology is that just because an injustice went by unnoticed for years, it doesn’t deserve our attention now?

Answer #8

our country has the power to stop what’s going on. And why should we separate the entire human race by country anyway, we are all humans and we should all be connected. We need to help each other when possible.

Answer #9

OK cool so we should invade every country with our troops that have some one doing stuff we don’t like and say hey this is for your own good we re going to go get the one guy so don’t worry it’ll be fine. sorry folks it’s not our job it’s wrong to try and make it our job. you know we have done this several times over the years you might have read about them Koren war, Vietnam, desert storm, and the then to two newest one you know where we invaded other peoples country disrupted there culture and government and said hey this is better for you guys. Sorry people it’s not our job and it’s not right for us to do. i don’t care your reason it’s wrong.

Answer #10

so Kahlil your theory is total world domination. cool i can name a few other leaders who tried to do so I’m pretty sure millions of people died trying to pull it off each time nd millions died in an attempt to stop it. and if the world would be come one country who’s government would it be. American’s, south africa, japan, possibly Canada

Answer #11

I will be investigating the charity “Invisible Children.” They apparently score very low when it comes to financial accountability and their motives are suspect. It has also been claimed that 70% of their revenue goes to paying staff, travel budgets and making films. It is a known fact that they support the military in Uganda.

Try not to be too gullible by jumping on any bandwagon that drives through town. Read all you can, look at both sides, always try to look under the surface and above all, follow the money trail.

Answer #12

80% goes to the actual cause, their financial statements are online, and anyway the last thing the do is ask for donations, the main issue is awareness and if you donate, that’s cool by them. But no what I will be doing is not only forking over some cash, but actually writing letters and calling the 12 politicians targeted by the movement. Also, they do not support the Ugandan military, but they do work with them because a certain amount of cooperation is necessary. I have done my research and still support the cause because they don’t just say “give us your money” they tell you what you could do for free, such as contact the politicians which honestly will probably do more than the money anyway.

Answer #13

Gaia, I took your advice and went straight to the IC site to see the Financial Reports. I am certainly no expert in reading them, however, they clearly state a total revenue of $13,765,180 and total expenses of $8,894,632. That only leaves $4,870, 547. What am I missing? So their expenses are actually 64% of the total income leaving only 36% for the cause. Here is a link to the financials. Maybe you can take another look and show me how you got to 80%. http://funadvice.com/r/15qo4rm1sde. My main concern is when organizations exploit bona fide causes for their own profit.

Answer #14

no politicians is going to agree and go to war because of a letter or call. it’s election time folks

Answer #15

hey every one watch a movie it’s called lord of war came out about 7 or so years ago. it’s true and it proves the American government doesn’t care

Answer #16

pinkpearl they announced that it was 80%, information is coming to me in bits in pieces so who knows what it really is. However, when I say I support the Kony2012 movement, I support the attention directed on the situation. I want this to be a regular thing, where we don’t pay more attention to snooki than to actual problems. The point of this issue is to bring awareness to situations like this. I explained it to my friends like this: there is a way to “safely” support this movement. There are other charities that have been rated with 4 stars that do things like try to arrest Kony, provide education and medical aid etc. So use this opportunity to remember to donate to those causes. So when I see the Kony2012 signs, it makes me think “what did I do today to make the world a better place?” and that is what the movement is supposed to be about. It brings the focus on important issues. So I myself donated to the IC and to 2 other organizations I trust. Practicing the Kony movement “safely” so to speak and not JUST getting angry and not doing anything. We need people who can see in between, not blindly give money to this, but not just get angry either. I have been inspired to live mindfully because of this. It is about something bigger than Kony, the IC, or Uganda.

Answer #17

I have no idea wtf you’re talking about because I never said anything about world domination. You are just such an angry person. Be happy, takes too much energy to fight everyone.

Answer #18

to have only one country in the world means some one has to force the others to submit to them. we are separate because everyone has a different view of how to lead and what to allow to go on. hell if America’s didn’t have such a different goal than Europe America would still be a part of the British empire.

Answer #19

How is the information coming to you in bits and pieces? The information came to me in the form of a PDF file from IC’s web site. It’s there right down to the last dollar.
