Is my cat in labor?

My cat has been acting unusually nice. She keeps waking me up at night and then jumping down returning to her nesting area. Also her temp has dropped to 99.7 as of yesterday, but today she wont let me take it. Is she having labor symptoms or are these natural behaviors?

if her temp dropped and her mood changes like she wants to be left alone and nesting like shredding up paper or something like that then yeah…she is possibly in labor. Awww cute kittens are coming yay!

She isn’t in labor yet, but she might be ready to go into labor, she isn’t going to make it to obviously but she will be in her nesting area, breathing heavy, she might make a few meows.. and well there’s not much to worry about because she could get through it on her own, but cat’s have a tendecny to be very close with their human before they are about to go into labor, my cat is STUCK by my side usually and then the next day! pop out 5 kittens.. has happened everytime she’s pregnant.

Also do you know when about she concieved? It only takes 3 months for them to be at full term.

Answer #4

Do you even know if she is pregnant? If you aren’t sure if she’s pregnant, check her nipples. And you will KNOW when she is in labor. You might want to talk to your vet.

when your cat goes into labor..she will start panting..and acting and youll be able to tell she is uncomfortable! things to do for her..when she goes into labor, dont get grossed out, youll need to keep her in her normal resting place, so that shes stays as comfortable as possible. Also, youll need things like warn water, and rags, a lot of them. Also, you might have to help her along, if its her first. So keep some gloves, in hands reach. Thats about it..oh yeah very important. If she doesnt start licking them asap, and you can see that the sack is still around the babies mouth, youll need to assist, and clean around there mouth just so that they can breath, she should do the rest. Also , stay calm…she will be able to sense that. Its a long process, and she(the cat) is very loud. You can fell her belly, to feel the positions of the kittens. I have delivered, a lot of animals, so I hope this helped you.

if your cat is pregnet then her nipples would swell, she would become more loveable, and her stumic would get bigger, she would also get sick a lot so shill through up a lot. you would also have to wach and see if she gose into sertant places all the time and if she dose all of them then she have kittens ^_^
