Is it possible to lose weight without exercising?

I know it sounds stupid but is it possible to lose weight with out excersie.

I mean I was always skinny throughout my life without doing excercise till about last summer when I was so depressed from losing a loved one.

I was 115 and now im 140. IS it possible to lose weight without excercise

You can lose weight without exercising if you have to. I was in a bad accident and I am not able to exercise at all. The accident crushed my right pelvis and leg and broke my left pelvis also so exercising is not a viable option for me. I have went from 210 to 134 without exercise and without becoming anorexic.

I have kept a food journal and watch my fat and calorie intake. I eat no less than 1200 calories a day and no more than 1500. I keep my carbs below 100 a day and eat as little fat as possible. I still have snacks if I want them, just in moderation. I Only drink water and my daily cup of coffee. No cold drinks or sodas at all.

Having said all of that, if you are able to exercise, it is to your benefit to do so. The more you get up and move the better it is for you. If there is some physical reason that you can’t, weight loss is still an option. You just have to be smart about it.

Yea it is but I would not suggest it. Youl lose weight but you wont gain any muscle.

Jules is completely correct. You can lose weight without exercise cause eating right is just as important as exercise so yes you can still be healthy and skinny while not exercising. Of course it makes it a lot harder though and do not think you will have nice abs or anything of that nature without exercise.

losing weight is like everything else you have to work for what you want no matter how big of a pain in the a*s it is

Yes, after all that’s how anorexia works. But it’s best to have a healthy and balanced diet accompained with a bit of exercise. It doesn’t have to be extreme, just like going for a 10minute run or half hour walk everyday or every other day. This is proved to be the best way to lose weight and keep a healthy body and complexion.
