What do i do?Im 18 years old and my boyfriend is 38, we have been talkin and datin for a while now and im sure i love him and i know he loves me, i feel like

were perfect for eachother . We have talked about everything and he wont hold me back from going to college and does not want to hold me back when im ready to have kids. The only problem is i just told my dad about him and our age difference, and my dad is pissed and never wants me to see my boyfriend again, idk what to do cause my dad and my boyfriend are a huge part of my life. my dad just assumes since he is that much older than me that all he is interested in is a young female thats barely legal and all he wants is sex but that is not the case at all. idk what to do. HELP

Your dad just wants what’s best for you. Your boyfriend wants what’s best for him (and maybe you).

Listen to your dad. There’s a reason he’s pissed.

This is a hard one. Because I cant help but think, ok, so you’re fine for now. What happens when you hit 35 and he’s 55. He’s old. You have so much more to live and do. He’s in the stage where he is ready to settle. On the other hand, I feel like if you’ve got a few good years with the right person, it’s worth a lot of not so great years with the wrong one.
