I think I may be depressed

Recently I have been very irritable and angry for no reason. I’m always tired and I have trouble falling asleep and waking up in the morning. I have also gained weight and feel like crying all thetime. I was once a straight A student and now am getting C’s- so my grades are suffering, I can’t concentrate and I dont really feel like talking with friends or anyhitng. I usually just wanna go home during the day and not talk to anyone, usually I feel like crying. I have also taken a tack and scraped my arm with it, not legit cutting with a knife but it leaves a tiny scar for the next day but fades. I also find myself snapping my wrist with elastics too. I feel worthless a lot and never feel like doing anything. In addition, I dohave thoughts of death. I think I may be depressed but I don’t want to tell my mom I’m scared to but I also dont like feeling like this. Help?

I think you should talk to a school coucelor. Not one person is gonna have the right answer for you. And its better to have someone in person thats gonna listen and have sympathy and compassion for you. A person that wont judge you. You might be depressed becuse you lost interest in certain things and just need to find another adventure or passion. You cutting your arm shows frustration of not knowing why you are depressed. I think if you can find you inside and certain things that make you happy can help. Find and try new hobbies, try volunteer work, after school activities, try to find goals that you can work towards to that can be achieved. It just depends on you. The best help you can get is from someone that can get to know you in person. Online help cant get but so far cause people only know from what they are told. A person that see’s and talks to you in person can get more from you which can help you in the long run.

first off, dont hurt yourself or anything and dont think of death. second, if you have trouble falling asleep, have you tried counting sheep ( yes it does work! ), or listening to the ocean? cause that can help. third, since you think you gained weight, have you tried working out at a gym nearby your house? you could start eating healthier foods. also, running or jogging really helps people lose weight. about your grades, have you asked questions to the teachers? I know you may feel embarassed asking questions about how assignments or anything else like that, but get this: the people that ask questions in class usually end up getting good grades on tests.

looking at your page I noticed you said you have the greatest friends, its them I think you should go to, maybe one or two, your best friends who know you well, and who you trust, but you really should talk to someone, who ever that may be.

other than that.. just try and take the most from everything.. if your in a mood where you find things funny that you know arnt funny at all… perfect, its how I get by :D
