And to make me better at handeling it. Please help

Answer #1

Yeah there are pills to slow it down!!!

Answer #2

you really do have a problem!!!

he might have alzeimers. research it. then take him to a doctor, I don’t know how old you are but my grandpa had alzeimers and it’s almost impossible to deal with.

Answer #3

well if he keeps faling down try getting him a walker because those help to keep their balance usually when people get older they cant keep their balance and then it also sounds like he has alzeimers! you cant change that but maybe you could take him to the doctor and see if they have like a pill or something that can slow the alzeimers down

Answer #4

Damn… I’m sorry about this. It sounds like alzeimers, I’d take him to the doctor and let them know what’s going on and they can test him for it. If he has it, I believe there are pills that can help slow it. Good luck with this and if you need anything else, let me know.

Answer #5

The ones who said it sounds like alzeimers are right. That does sound like what it is. I know that’s very difficult to deal with and I wish you all the best luck with your grandfather.

Your family needs to find someone to stay with who can assist him with daily activities and help to keep him from falling so much. If he continues to fall.eventually he is going to hurt himself-broken hips are very common and take awhile to heal it requires bedrest and rehabilitation and a lot people start to give up when these things occur. If you family can not afford someone to assist in the home, unfortunately I would have to suggest a nursing where 24 hour care is provided. He will have a chance for socializing with other residents(if he is still able) and there are daily activities, and religious services for those who wish to attend. I truly like to see people stay in the homes as long as possible, but it sounds as if this not possible for him anymore. Look for a nursing home where when are there you constantly see staff on the floor, in the patients rooms-both CNA’s and nurses as well. If staff is extremely hard to find look somewhere else. you want a facility where the patients are well attended and staff is easily found when needed. Look at those residents sitting in the hallways or walking around, are there clothes, hands and face clean? Do they look like they are well taken care of? Watch the staff with the residents—do they treat them kindly and speak gently, do they act as if they really like their job and want to be there? Unfortunately the time comes when someone we love needs more assistance than we can give to keep them safe. When looking for a facility, look for a homey atmosphere and if you have misgivings about a particular facility don’t think twice about leaving and looking somewhere else. Never place them somewhere you feel uncomfortable. I’m sorry your grandfather has deteriorated to where he needs extra assistance. Just know that placing him somewhere he can be safer is because you love him so much? {=
