I'm Suicidal, But Scared Of It

I have been feeling depressed since I first started dating my boyfriend of more than a year, because my parents and my boyfriend clash.

I don’t know if I am being eccentric, but I just feel sad most of the time. I cry at least once a day and sometimes I think of suicide, but I’m too scared to do it.

I’ve tried counselling, but it was too far away to keep going to, though I do want help.

I’m not sure if I’m being silly or if it is real. Please help.

Thank you.

hey I used to be very suicidal…I’ve held a knife to my wrist before…but I forced myself to stop and think of the people that would miss me the most…all I would be giving up if I killed myself…please be careful…think about your family, friends, all the experiences you haven’t had yet…dont give them up

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

well you might want to try seeing a school counsoler, or go to a local doctor, and always try to think positive.

make a journal of all positive things about yourself, and your life. make yourself presentable, and work hard to be clean cut, and nice looking. if you feel good about yourself, suicide wouldn’t come to mind.

if you are scared to do it, it’s probably a sign that you shouldn’t, because whether you think so or not, you will be hurting a lot of people.

you might also try talking to your family, and boyfriend about how it makes you feel, and the problem’s you’re faceing. if they love you, they will try to work past their differences.

hope I could help, and please don’t do anything like that.

I was the same way. I would lock myself in my room, put a belt around my neck and started crying. I just thought of my family and friends and how sad everyone would be when I be gone. also the type of example im setting for my younger members. what got me out of this stage is going out with friends, keeping myself busy and kepted saying everything would get better next week. and it did

hoped I helped.

I highly suggest you check out The Pact by Jodi Picoult. This book is great for all ages, but teenagers can learn some great lessons, especially if you’re having suicidal thoughts. It makes you take a long hard look at what you’re doing to everyone around you.

Softballchick is totally right! And if you get in a tizzy, you can always talk with a friend about your problems. Or talk with your boyfriend or parents about why they don’t like each other. But suicide is never the answer, because all you did was kill yourself when you could have made things better!
