Seeing as you said you feel unimportant, perhaps finding something you could do to help someone else would make you feel important to somebody. Like even just helping around the house for example.

Depression is something like stress! stress only has one way to go away which is relaxation! you should relax more often that’s why you can get rest and you can get more work done without depression

I was in your shoes once, but I cried about it all the time. What I did was I got up and got out there and hung out with the crowd that I knew I fit in and they are weird but yet cool people. Have someone you trust closely help you get into newer things that are fun and enjoyable.

Depression is like stress? Seriously?

Well first of all, I know it takes energy to do the things you used to do. But you’re going to have to do them anyways. At least some of them. Otherwise it will get worse. Your motivation is not to make your depression worse. I could explain reinforcement, but I really cant be bothered right now. Keep yourself healthy too, eat regularly, and exercise (also things that people who have depression dont usually do). The rest of it, I mean I’m a fan of therapy. If it’s been a while and it isnt going away, consider talking to one. shemmy would be right, CBT is an empirically supported treatment.

I think that you need to work on what’s making you feel depressed and angry. What changed over the time which may have caused you to feel differently? Was there anything?

If there’s really no reason for how you feel, it could be due to a chemical imbalance. So, if there’s really nothing that has worked for you, I would suggest seeing your doctor and maybe trying to see a counselor (if needed). They can try different things to try to help you feel better. It’s tough, but it can be very beneficial.
