How do I tell my dad that I wanna go on birth control?

I really want to go on birth control but I live with my dad and my parents are divorce. But you see the thing is that my dad is one of those very strict italian fathers and he still thinks im a virgin which im not.. So what should I do or tell him that I do wanna go on bc?

Answer #1

Strict, well fathers are like that because hes worried about you and its a cold disgusting world out there and he’s just looking out for you (thats what I think why dads are strict). The best way is to sit him down and tell him this is really important and he has to listen to you and not question until your finished talking. Now you can go ahead and tell him your not a virgin anymore as your doing this (hence he’ll give you that “im very disapointed in you” type of look) ignore that. Or you can tell him that you might be losing it soon and you just want to be ready for it. (I like this 1 better he wont be as ticked off by it). Make sure thats its clear and not said in a high tone of voice. Then you let him have to say what he has to say.

I hope that works, good luck!

I would also be afraid to tell my dad I have or want to be sexually active(my dad sounds a lot like yours) regulating your period sounds like the safer idea. Or if you have an aunt or someone close to you that your comfortable talking to, try talking to them.

Answer #3

Baby, just go to the family center and get the bc. Make sure that you are protecting yourself because HIV is out there and people aren’t telling you that they have it.

Here

http://www.plannedparenthood.org/

It’s a family planning clinic. Check for one near where you live.

Answer #5

Don’t tell him just go to the planned perenthood there you can get help and not be so imbaressed and also be safe.

GOOD LUCK:)

Answer #6

Tell him you want to regulate your periods. Bring up the word period and he will stop the conversation if he’s like most fathers. Or just go to planned parenthood.

Answer #7

what is “planned parenthood”?
