How can I lose 40 lbs. In 2 weeks?

I’m 13 and I was 178 I’m wayyy over weight. School startes next augets 2009 and I want to lose a lot of weight if I do I will be 138 I’ll be in more shape. Plzzz help me I dont want to fllow my brothers footsteps evreyone is skinny in my family. Plzzz help!

umm not a good idea at all. been there done that. I weighed 158 and I’m 13 I was over weight as well my goal was a little bit more realistic than yours it was 30 pounds in 4 weeks. I got to my goal by drinking 4 litres of water a day that’s it no food no soda, juice ect. and I went jogging twice a day 1 hour each time. and I got to my goal. but I was hospitalized ‘cause of “lack of nutrician” for a week and I felt worse then I did when I was fat so I recommend to exercise 1-2 hours a day and drink lots of water…but set a way more realistic goal please.

there is one way to lose it, though. I have lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks and the only way to do it is to do a lot of cardio and crunches and you will be able to get to the shape that you want to be in. I’m 17 and has to get in shape for prom, and I have already lost 15 lbs, only by using minimal exercise equiptments, but getting down on your hands & knees might be hard, for it works. trust me, I did the work, cut back on all of the sweets and carbs, drank lots of water, and achieve plenty of sleep. if I can do it, so can you sweety! :)

actually it’s 3500 calories per pound. the fastest recommended weight loss rate is 2 lbs a week. So to go healthy your looking at 20 weeks.

Aside from surgery, it’s impossible.

But how about this. Set next schoolyear as your goal, and be realistic. Watch what you eat, and exercise regularly. If you do those things, a year from now, you really will see a difference.

If you don’t do those things, you will assuredly weight 40 pounds more this time next year.

dont give up but you can lose 10 punds in 3weeks just go walking 2 miles everyday and make sure you drink plenty of water…you are young just get in a routine and you will be fine!

It is virtually impossible without making yourself very ill or you could die. That is a totally unrealistic goal. Please reconsider this and think about healthier ways to lose this weight. (=

I’m sorry but there is no way you are going to lose that much weight in 2 weeks. It’s unhealthy and unrealistic! The healthiest amount of weight to lose in 2 weeks is 2 - 4 pounds. Losing such a huge amount of weight like that in just 2 weeks will guarantee that you will put back on all that weight and more. If you want to lose weight you need to just change your eating habits. Instead of snacking on junk foods eat fruit or low fat yoghurts. Also, make sure you get at least 1 or 2 hours of exercise every day. You don’t have to do mad things like sit ups or crunches etc. Just walking or jogging will work just fine. Instead of sugary drinks drink water or sugar free lemonades. Also if you drink tea or coffee instead of using sugar in it use sweetners. Just little things like that can make big differences. You should aim to lose 1 - 2 pounds a week to make sure the weight stays off and you stay healthy. When your back in school try and be as active as you can, maybe even join an after school sports club.

I’ve already lost 2 stone 2 pounds but its taken me a year. There will be weeks were you will put on weight even if your eating healthy. It can’t be helped. If you really stick to eating healthy and doing a bit of exercise each day it would take you maybe a little under a year to lose that amount of weight. Just don’t push yourself.

I the same situation but I know you shouldnt do anything that could hurt you like starvation I walk every day and as I do so I sweat a lot lol ya I know its gross but the more you sweat the more you might lose drink water instead of like soda and… I do Ab work at night also. so sorry if mii method dosnt work im not that smart but ya

You wont lose the weight that fast.Even if you starved your self you still couldnt loose all that weight.Im 15 years old 5 foot 7 and weigh 8 stone.The way I keep my figure is to do 30 lunges a day, cut out ALL junk food,sweets,fizzy drinks and replace with fruit and veg.If you feel hungry in between meals drink lots of ice cold water because it fills you up and you can just go to the loo and get rid of it.By loosing weight this way not only will you be thinner but your skin will be better.Try walking to school or joining a gym.It will really make a difference.Good luck x
