How can I lose 20 pounds by the time school starts?

Ok, so I’m 5”1.5, and 152 pounds. I know I’m overweight. I wanted to lose 20 pounds by September 2nd (if possible).

How much should I eat and exercise? (I’m a vegetarian, fyi)

Answer #1

Talk to your parents and have them help you, for example by not buying snacks filled with lipids. Exercise more and consult a doctor to advise you on a healthy diet. Don’t stop eating because your nutrition keeps your body going and will give you the energy to exercise and lose fat whilst gaining muscles. Just change to a healthier diet that has been thought about. Stay away from carbonated sugary drinks.

Good luck and keep your chin up, no matter what, you are still a great person!

“How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?”

One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it’s not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

“What should a minimum calorie intake be?”

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

Hey I’m 13 years of age also, bout same height but weigh 165 pounds. I don’t want to say this but maybe its a healthy tip for a healthy body, sometimes when you go at school, your friends usually tell you that you are obese and fat : You are to fat to join cheerleading,u’ll break the girls head or back. Don’t worry about that, as long as you believe in yourself. Have a long talk with your parents first explaining what’s happing at school, out with friends and about jokes. By this time your parents will be able to help you more into losing the weight. What if I told you that you can lose 1 pound of fat a day, by simply drinking water and water only. You may eat fruit but it may not work for everybody but it sure has worked for me. In 1 week I lost 7 pounds and felt more good and sure about myself;Continued doing that and lost over 20 pounds in 2-3 weeks, you can try that routine now, but remember only drink water alone, no bread(whole wheat/white), no cereal, nothing only water so buy about a packet of bottled water for the week and you will recognize your answer. OK good luck my dear and hope that this works.
