How can I get famous when I'm only in a local band?

I’m only in a local band and like we really wanna get on like a radio station or somethin so like anyone know how 2 get semi-famous?

You could call a local rock station or drop by their studio and let them know of your interest. They could possibly help hook you up to play at a small venue and see how they like you. Or you could make a demo CD and pass them out to kids at shows to help get the word out. Vans Warped Tour is a good place to start. I saw a band there once that played outside the venue while we waited in line just to get their name out there.

Even then, some bands that are considered semi-successful don’t have a record label. Some bands self-produce their albums. The most important thing you want to do is make yourself known wherever you can. I’d even suggest playing a really small show in somebody’s basement for a bunch of friends and tell them to invite everyone they know. Good luck anyway.
