when I was in school you couldnt have piercings at school anyway, you’ll have to take it out at any job you get, if you plan on working. I work at a tattoo shop, but you have to be 18 to work in a shop, so you still have a while before that option opens up for you. it is best to wait till you’re 18, then you dont have to fight about, just walk in and get it done. Then you’re in college and your professor isn’t going to care, still, the job, mmm…try to work where ya get pierced…lol

The lady above me is right, lol… doing it behind his back makes matters worse… or wait til’ you’re legal lol..that usually works..

Basically when my daughter lived under my roof, we went through the same fiasco about getting this pierced and that pierced. She already had her tongue pierced when we moved here and had started multiple piercings in her ear lobes. She had tried nose piercing, but she has sensitive skin so she has to wear a certain type of metal. She wanted her eyebrow pierced and labret pierced and blah blah blah. Basically I told her no and that when she turned 18 and was out on her own she could get pierced whatever she wanted to. Well she has been out on her own a year, and nothing else has gotten pierced :)))

Answer #6

I had the exact same problem =[ All I can say is dont go to extremes over it Just talk to them and try not to get worked up over it Dont go behind they’re back and get it done, that only agrivates the situation =] Or you could always try the puppy dog eyes =]

Answer #7

If you really want it that bad, I mean come up with ways that you would think would make him happy. Such as being a more responsible person, like getting a job or going to school and being extra smart. If I were you, I would research the pros & cons of getting something pierced & think twice before doing it. Things can go wrong such as hitting the wrong nerve on any part of the body so take the time to do a research on it.

Answer #8

You could try bargaining.
School is starting soon–tell him if he lets you get it done, you’ll try to get all As or something like that, but if you don’t–you’ll take it out. Also, crying and yelling and arguing about it WILL NOT make him want to let you get it done any more than he already does. Acting like a baby, screaming at him, and fighting him will only prove you’re too immature to get it done.

Answer #9

I pierced my lip myself, my parents told me no. but I did it anyways, and they don’t know about it. haha

Answer #10

well, find out the reasons he doesn’t want you to get it done, and prove him wrong. my dad always caves if i write a persuasive essay. sigh

Answer #11

Dear reva_da_diva, Try gathering information of the comparisons of the dangers of nose and lip piercing. Prove to him that he has nothing to fear…if you can. Sue…good luck
