How would u guys feel about this big secret kept from u all these years??

So I just found out that my uncle is actually my dad. And I now understand the reason my parents are divorced and why my dad and uncle hate each other. Right now, I hate them all 4 this messed up jerry springer life of mine. What do u guys think about this???

Answer #1

I would be angry as well, but then again your mother and uncle was probably trying to protect you. Speak to them about how this is affecting you. You have a right to be angry and upset. I sure would be, but don’t write off your family for it.

Answer #2

I would be very upset, but give your parents the chance to explain why they made this arrangement and told you this during your life. They may have thought it was the best way to raise you or there could be other underlying reasons.

Answer #3

Wow. That’s a lot to take in in one conversation. I think anybody would be upset if they were told this, you have every right to be mad and confused. But remember they are al your family and there must have been a reason to keep this a secret. I suggest you organise a night where you can all talk openly about the situation. Don’t make accusations without knowing all of the facts.

Answer #4

You should be mad. If it was me I would be more than mad. Honestly in my opinion they should’ve told you from the beginning, because yes maybe they weren’t telling you to protect you, but what use it if your going to find out sooner or later? The truth is important.

Answer #5

I think I’d be angry and confused. There definitely would be a lot of questions (why, for one). At the same time, however, I’d also try to understand their reason. If they hid it for so long, obviously they did it because they were trying to protect me from something. Does that make it right? No, not really. That doesn’t mean that you can’t work on making it right, though.

Answer #6

It’s kinda hard, you know all this stuff has been hidden from you. Best thing to do is stick to talk to someone ehile all this hate and mixed emotions go away.
