Why does to much exercise make you feel sick/ill ?

I feel really sick and only exercised for like 30mins why? :(

Answer #1

There could be a lot of reasons.

  1. You are pushing yourself too hard and that can make you feel faint from dehydration or blood pressure rising or falling.
  2. You are dehydrated
  3. You haven’t eaten properly during the day or before you exercise (usually an hour before is a good idea)
  4. You have some underlying condition, like allergies/asthma - I know that mine can make me feel light headed.
  5. You are very unfit and your body isn’t used to it.
  6. Your heart rate increases tremendously (worth checking with your doctor)

Take it slower, or take a break in between the exercise. These are also only some reasons I can think of. If it persists after you’ve scaled down a bit see a doctor.

Exercise and being sick can be caused by a lot of things. One of them is that the individual is not accustomed to such rigorous movements and thus, does not stay within their target heart rate. A popular symptom is getting sick after working out because you’re not properly clothed. Have you ever seen a big weightlifter sporting the same t-shirt out of the gym as he wore inside? Probably not, and that’s because your body tends to lose a lot of heat at the head and hands, so a sudden difference in temperature can cause your immune system to not work correctly.

If you consume certain shakes or supplements, don’t work out immediately or you may also feel sick. If you’re still feeling sick, go to a physician and get tested to find out where you stand physically before going any further.
