It is basically a hormone replacement. Its for women going through menopause and it can also e given to women who have had a hysterectomy. It stops things like night sweats, hot flashes and mood changes

i wouldnt take estrogen if i were you but after a few times you will notice a change

You may notice some subtle changes at first but the benefits will not be seen right away. If your body had a deficiency and it had to adapt to it then now it may take a month or to for your body to re adjust to the treatment.
