How can I get more energy in the mornings?

Have a well rounded breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, because it sets your metabolism for the day. If you’re going to skip any meal skip lunch or dinner. Have something light for dinner, but by all means don’t eat after 8PM. Your body needs to digest the food consumed that day. Get at least 8 hours of sleep. By doing this you can maintain your weight, and if you are over weight, doing the above you’ll loose pounds. A good breakfast that can give you high energy is a bowl of oatmeal, eggs and some kind of meat, and chocolate milk. For lunch and dinner eat a big salad and some kind of meat. Don’t mix bread or complex carbohydrates with meat. Oatmeal in the morning is ok because you can burn it off during the day. Oatmeal is high in protein. Eggs and meat of course are high in protein. Chocolate milk is great because the milk is high in magnesium and calcium, and chocolate is rich in antioxidant.

Answer #11

Thanks, but I meant before breakfast. I’m talking about energy for exercise in the early morning- like 6 or 7 am, before I have breakfast. I cannot run having just eaten so I’m trying to think of ways to get long lasting energy without food.

Answer #12

I found out this. If one has an 8oz of chocolate milk before exercise and one after exercise it not only gives on energy but it gives the person magnesium and calcium plus antioxidants, and protein for mussel building. Try it.
