How do you "let go" of your emotions?

I’ve been wondering about this, I’ve had a few small problems but it seems that I’m just naturally leaning towards shoving my feelings aside, even though I think I am letting them out. How do you, really, as a person, let your emotions run a muck?

Answer #1

tell yourself whatevers bothering yu doesnt bother yu. it depends on the emotion

Answer #2

Do you mean how do you properly take care of your emotions? Well for me, i confide in the closest person to me whats wrong, i cry my eyes out, i complain, and about an hour of that and I’m fine haha. It’s not healthy to keep emotions inside it could even cause damage to your health in the long runb from stress. Just confide in a person you can trust and have them help you out with the problem, everyone needs someone to lean on sometimes :)

depends on your emotion if they are positive or negative if positive they wont bother you ,most of the time they are negative and hurtful. you need to just trying to forget them by doing new other stuff and changing your life-style

I write. I just write and write, I just write like 3 poems or a story based on what I’m feeling. I also read a lot, I don’t know if thats really a way, but for me I juet read on and forget about what happened or whatever and soon enough its like I never felt nothing bad.

Answer #6

people are different in how they could forget wat they are feeling . yup you can write wat bothers you in a notebook (where noone can read it ofcourse) that would help like you are emptying yourself

Answer #7

The only way to really ‘let go’ of an emotion is to deal with it in one way or another, in my opinion. Pushing it down does nothing but give it roots to grow. Issues just get bigger and bigger that way.

When it comes to dealing with them, I always say the first step would be expressing how you feel. Once you’ve done that, look over what it is that’s making you feel awful. See if the situation is something you can actually change. If it is, try. If it isn’t, you have to work on accepting that you can’t do anything about it.

It’s never easy, but time and leaning on loved ones helps a lot in tough situations.
